Conquest of Irie

Conquest of Irie

In 1712, King Bernard the Great turned his attention toward Irie. Backed by the powerful Wallisy navy blocking the rivers and the famed Highland Regiments of Steys, Bernard III marched forth to do battle with King Edric of Irie. Edric adopted a strategy of drawing out the combined forces, hoping that the hastily put together armies would turn on each other. Bernard managed to hold his coalition together for the two years it took to pin down Edric’s army and destroy it. In 1714, Irie was formally added to the Kingdom of Agraine, Edric’s son Devlin being named Grand Duke of Irie.
